Postman and Insomnia

Open source, developer-focused tools like Postman and Insomnia are available to help you explore this and other APIs without needing to use command line scripts. Either of these tools can be used with the Finance API.

Postman logoPostman is a mature product with lots of features. Consider this if your teammates are using it, or if you want more configuration options.

Insomnia logoInsomnia is a lighter-weight alternative to Postman. Consider this if your teammates are using it, or if you want a simpler UI.

Downloadable resource collection

This collection provides the base configuration for the Finance API resources. Import it into either Postman or Insomnia and you’ll be able to explore it there. You’ll need to fill in your own client key and secret.
